Madeline Grubbe- 3L

Madeline Grubbe is a 3L1 student currently clerking at Taxman, Pollock, Murray & Bekkerman.

Some of her favorite classes at UIC Law are trial advocacy, medical negligence, and advanced torts. When Madeline isn’t studying or working, she enjoys relaxing, hanging out with her friends, and watching any and all sports, particularly the Ohio State Buckeyes from her hometown of Columbus, Ohio.

Madeline is looking forward to making this the best [virtual] school year UIC Law has ever had. She likes to make anything better than the way she found it and she hopes to do that here.

Madeline’s Law School Life Advice: try to do something every day, no matter how small, that makes you happy.

Gabriella Hansen- 3L

Gabriella Hansen is a legislative representative for her 3L class. Her favorite part of being a student at UIC-JMLS is interacting with other students pursuing all different types of careers in the legal field.

In her free time, Gabriella enjoys spending time with her younger sister Grace, watching sports with friends, and playing tennis.

As a student legislative representative, Gabriella looks forward to making sure all of her classmates’ voices are heard.

Joe Herrmann-3L

Joe Herrmann is a 3L1 who currently serves as a 3L Class Representative. His favorite part of being a member of the UIC JMLS community is being able to talk with all his fellow classmates, whether in the classroom or the Boilerplate (hopefully we can see all each other soon)!

He loves everything about the city of Chicago, from the endless options of food, the excitement of the sports teams, and all the amazing sights the city has to offer.

When Joe isn’t studying you can find me spending time with friends and family, watching sports, going to the zoo or aquarium, and enjoying an Al’s Beef. Joe’s favorite part of being a Class Representative is being able to talk to his fellow classmates and relay those thoughts back to SBA.  He is looking forward to this school year and working with SBA.

Joe’s Life Motto: Great moments are born from great opportunity.
